Since a few years the Famous Patitos band has made its appereance in downtown Zurich. This is Etienne Conod on Hammond and Patrick Oriet on Gitar and, from 2010 on, young drummer-talent Dennis Blassnig. Conod once founded the legendary Sunrise recording studios, became farmer in Australia and has lately begun to concentrate on the Hammond organ. He reminds of Jimmy Smith melded with the groove of the great McGriff. When he teamed up with Oriet, who calls Kenny Burrell his godfather they began to develop the hammond/gitar-format once very popular in the sixties. Patrick Oriet had set out in classical gitar before delving deeply into the blues. His craft and swinging tone blend ideally with Conods uncensored Hammond.
